the table (2023)

the table is a performance created by myself, Teppei Higuchi, and Soonhah Jeong that stages a story of unrequited love between a table and its modes of production. through a series of short scenes, the performance explores the table as a potential stand-in for institutional transparency, labor, and perhaps the stage of the theatre itself. what processes make activities on tables possible, and what might happen in its queer disorientation?
