erase space (2024)

performed at ArraySpace as a part of BEHAVIOURS

in collaboration with julie zhu and joyce to

erase space is a piece of music theater that tells a speculative history of ArraySpace, one of Toronto’s most important centres for new music. through archival material, anecdotes, rumors, hearsay, and desires for the space’s future, the piece re-stages key events, both “true” and otherwise, to pinpoint the potential impossibility of ever understanding the history of cultural sites.
